I am Macduff, Thane of Fife. A father to a dead son, and a husband to a dead wife, and friend to the new king of Scotland. I have always known, the day I’ve seen King Duncan’s body I’ve known that the soul traitor is Macbeth. I’ve raced to Scotland to discus to Malcom about taking the Scottish throne by Macbeth with violent actions. During my ride to from Scotland to England I’ve been informed of the death of my family, by the cowardly act of Macbeth. I have been sad, My family has been slayed, (Act 4 scene 2), i still dream of the horror. Macbeth's confidence is his belief that he is invincible. The witches have assured him that he cannot be killed by anyone "of woman born". But the witches did not state his “indestructible” powers can be slayed by my own sword.
